Yahoo UK Confirms? 2 Songs? HELL YEAH!
This was on the frontpage of Yahoo UK for about 12 hours earlier today in the top spot.

Did they just confirm what we reported yesterday? How awesome is that.
My 2 picks for songs would be
“Never Gonna Give You Up” (with U2 Backing) and “Where Do I Begin” because he really nails that song.

His first song should be “Where do I Begin”.
Then he should announce his 2nd song, “Sleeping”
and sing NGGYU instead.
Then, Chuck Norris should hold a sign
“U Got Rickrolled!” into the camera.

#1: Sleeping, the ‘And life goes on and on anon anon anon’ must be in!
#2: Announce some other song and play NGGYU!

live rickroll would be so awesome

Completely agreeing with Buddhabrot about second song, including Chuck Norris or signs given to audience that reads the same text.
(as an unrelated note, on latest episode of Yahtzee’s famous Zero Punctuation at 1:41 is Rick Astley’s picture)

Will we, in the USA, be able to see this?
I know we have an mtv station on our college campus, but I am just curious if it will be shown.

I think he should do “Never Gonna Give You Up”, that would be the best rickroll ever
The second song is not that important, they are all good
October 30th, 2008 at 3:42 am
NGGYU and Sleeping!
October 30th, 2008 at 5:59 am
Awesome. Songs are not so important, as long as he plays NGGYU
October 30th, 2008 at 6:39 am
Sleeping
October 30th, 2008 at 10:12 am
2nd Needs to be SLEEPING, it fucking owns!
October 30th, 2008 at 11:18 am
What about NGGYU, TWICE!

@SirGir, that looks like the article to me. But it still just says a “source,” which I’m assuming was the post on this site. I’m just wondering if there’s any other source saying this, I haven’t seen anything in google news alerts. As much as I’d love for this to be true, I’m beginning to doubt it… =/

I’d rather him sing Together Forever than Where Do I Begin, though they are both good.

I’ve been thinking about this. Sadly, I predict that Rick Astley will choose NOT to appear or perform at the EMA show. Think about it- he’s just one guy, sitting in the middle of a sudden, uninvited phenomenal vortex of votes and internet videos: the RickRolling phenomenon, the frenzied autovoting, the anti-Scientology angle, etc. And along with that, the concern that this whole thing is possibly just one big internet prank. I hope I’m wrong, but I think he’s going to decide that it’s all just something he doesn’t ultimately want to get involved in. That would be unfortunate because I really do think he deserves the award, and I’d love to see and hear him bring the house down at the awards show. When I vote, I’m not doing so because I’m participating in an internet prank, I’m doing it because I want to see the best man win. I don’t want to rain on the parade by posting this, I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling.

But surely he must recognise the fact that he has enough fans who are dedicated enough to develop multiple variations (WRV, WebRV, iMacro, all the programming scripts) of voting for him in such an award like this, considering the more “mainstream/popular” artists in that category were/are regarded as shoe-ins for it. i.e. Britney Spears has made more of an impact as of late than Rick.
Regardless, I want him to sing, I’d prefer NGGYU + Where do I Begin.
Oh, and, it’d be cool if MTV Europe mentioned it as news, with “Kayne West & Estelle To Perform!” right after, would be pretty funny.
